Move-Up America opened it’s doors in 1995 to provide builders and buyers a more effective and cost saving model for working together when building a new home. After several years of working for a national builder we recognized the need for an improved process for the customers with a home to sell as well as a reliable resource for homebuilders to monitor and manage that process. The result is a system that has helped over 10,000 families successfully navigate the difficulties involved with the sales process and we now have builder partners across the nation offering our services. The Move-Up America staff has the experience matched by the enthusiasm to make the process of selling your home successful.

Clay Woodard

The formation of Move-Up America was an exciting proposition at the time, however, there was no way to predict the impact it would have on Clay’s life for the next 25 plus years.  After graduating from Southwest Texas State University and spending a few years toiling for the State of Texas, Clay was introduced to on-site sales and began his career in the new home industry.  That experience highlighted some opportunities to improve on how builder’s interact with buyers who needed to sell a home and thus the Move-Up America process was born.  While pleased with company performance over the years nothing makes him prouder than what a dedicated, tight-knit group of friends have accomplished together.  From small roots to a wide-ranging impact, the ride has been worth the fare.

“A life of accomplishment, versus a life of significance…the two are not always the same” is a favorite quote and has helped Clay remember to focus on what he can do for others outside the world of professional accomplishment.  He shares his life with his wife of 20 years Marla and three wonderful children.  Following his children’s sports activities, riding his Harley, volunteer opportunities and trying to keep up with their horse property in Georgetown fill his free time.  Life is good. God is good.

Jimmy J Horton

A native Texan, Jimmy J graduated from the University of North Texas in 1991 and began working as a sales rep for the sporting goods industry which took him to accounts all across the country.  After moving to Central Texas in 1994 he began a new career in real estate where he quickly made a name for himself and has obtained many professional designations including a Graduate of the Realtor Institute, Certified Residential Specialist and now holds brokerage licenses in Texas, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.  Doing business in multiple states allows for enough travel and new faces to keep the job interesting and exciting which is important.  While maintaining a professional environment in our interaction with clients, keeping the office setting loose and fun with a very tenured group of employees is one of the keys to our success.

J has been married to his college sweetheart for 28 years and together have raised two wonderful children.   Early years allowed for coaching several of their youth sports teams and included founding the first booster club for our city’s youth Lacrosse league.  His oldest has now graduated from Texas Tech University while the youngest is currently studying engineering at Texas A&M University.  J is a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys tinkering with and riding his Harley in his spare time as well as playing disc golf, paddle boarding, and dog training.

Cliff Fritschle

To say Cliff has had a humdrum life and career would be farfetched, and it would be more appropriate to use terms like Adrenaline Addict, Thrill Seeker, and Just plain nuts at times.  Growing up in Kingwood he became a top-level BMX racer in his teen years, then moved on to be a competitive water skier where he was able to ski on a nationally ranked collegiate water ski team earning awards in Slalom, Trick, and Jump.  All, of course, came to an end when it was career and family time, but he brings the same adventurous dedication to his family and career and tends to drag us all along with him into excellence.

Cliff's had his Real Estate License for 27 years and has a broad range of experience and knowledge he can share with our team and customers on a regular basis.  He spent 10 years in New Home Sales and Management, 5 years in full-time Real Estate, and has been with Move-Up America for the last 12 years.  His goal of enhancing the customer service experience starts in his management and collaboration with our statewide broker network to ensure we are delivering to our customers the level of attention and success we expect.  Cliff lives in Round Rock, is married to a fiery redhead named Emily and they have 4 nearly adult children.  Together he and Emily enjoy Harley rides, hiking, gin rummy marathons, and visiting the variety of local breweries.

Amy Marie describes herself as a people person and a very driven individual.  Once she sets her mind to accomplishing something it is as good as done.

Kristin Schroeder

Kristin joined the Move-Up America team in 2015 to lead the Accounting Department.  With several years’ experience in the real estate industry combined with a Texas State degree in Business Administration and a real head for numbers, she was the perfect fit to take over such a vital role in the company.  She has proven to be more than just a numbers person and now, true to the Move-Up America philosophy, assists in multiple areas of the daily operations.

A country girl at heart, she and her husband are the parents of three young boys, Wyatt, Tucker and Rhett, who as you can imagine keep them on their toes.  Having been raised with sisters, boys have presented her with a new challenge and everyday could be described as an adventure.  Since lace and tea parties are out of the question, the family spends most of their free time camping, playing baseball or in the pastures checking on their cows.  Taking after her mom, Kristin has quite the green thumb with a talent for growing things and on the rare occasion when the boys are all gone, she can be found on her back porch soaking in the scenery of her land and enjoying a little of that elusive peace and quiet.
